Graphic Browser

The Serendipity Systems' Graphic Browser provides a visual guide to a Unit Under Test (UUT).  When coupled with the Serendipity Systems' Guided Probe, the Graphic Browser visually shows the test operator where to place a probe during fault isolation.

The Graphic Browser can also be used free-standing under direct program control.  This mode is useful for visually instructing the operator in placing set-up jumpers, making circuit modifications, adjusting calibration pots and performing visual inspections.
The Graphic Browser displays graphic files from a

variety of sources.  This includes digital photographs, scanned images, screen captures and drawing packages.  Once a graphic image is selected, the areas of interest are identified through a simple point and click process.  This annotation procedure maps labels to specific points or areas on the graphic image.
The browser is composed of two independent windows.  The primary window controls

the operating parameters and presents a complete display of the graphic image.  The Graphic Focus window provides a scrollable and scaleable view of a portion of the graphic image.  The detail area being displayed in the Graphic Focus window is denoted by a colored frame in the primary window.

Direct program control of the Graphic Browser is achieved through a single DLL function call.  This function simply specifies the name of the item (e.g. "U14.5") to be highlighted on the graphic image.  The browser DLL can be accessed from a variety of program languages and test development tools.
